Oh, The Thinks You Can Think!

Dear cast, crew, and parents,

At this time, since school facilities are closed through at least June, and we are not legally allowed to stream Seussical Jr., our musical production is canceled. I never thought I would have to say goodbye to you all so early, and under these dreadful circumstances. I remain hopeful for the future of Simpson Theatre, and in the coming days and weeks, I will be developing a plan for the next school year.

I should have more information about musical fees, etc. soon, but I beg for your patience as these things can take awhile to work out under even normal circumstances; this situation is far from normal. If you donated props/costumes/etc. for us to borrow and you need them back, I unfortunately am unable to enter the building for the foreseeable future (no one is able to). All of these things will be arranged in due time; again, your understanding is appreciated as we navigate this extremely difficult situation.

I am so sorry to everyone who worked so hard on this. I know I'm heartbroken. I know you are too. I want to thank each and every one of you for your kindness, creativity, and enthusiasm. You made coming to school each day a joy, and I treasured all of our rehearsals and tech days. I am missing you all so much right now. So let's take a moment to be sad, because it's okay to feel these feelings...and then we will morph that sadness into helping one another, into forgiveness, and into beautiful art. Please, please, please...stay in touch! And remember:

When the news is all bad,

When you're sour and blue

When you start to get mad,

You should do what I do-

Tell yourself

How lucky you are

When your life's going wrong

When the fates are unkind

When you're limping along

And get kicked from behind

Tell yourself

How lucky you are. -Dr. Seuss

Stay healthy and remember Anything's Possible,
