Welcome to the Rolling Ridge School Counseling Department website!

The School Counseling program at Rolling Ridge Elementary is based on Virginia Public Schools Standards for School Counseling Programs. We visit each classroom (K through 5th) every other week for 30 minutes throughout the entire year.

Students in every grade level experience hands on learning in academic, career, and personal/social development. Topics include but are not limited to character education, bully awareness and prevention, conflict resolution, study skills, career exploration, teamwork, self-esteem, accepting differences, handling peer pressure, and middle school preparation.

Support groups are also available for students at Rolling Ridge. Many of the groups and counseling sessions focus on anger management, friendships, self-esteem, changing families/home structures, and academic concerns. Appointments and referrals can be made by contacting us directly.
