We will hold weekly meetings throughout the year to enhance delegates’ understanding of global issues, hone their communication and negotiation skills, and cultivate a deeper understanding of international affairs. More specifically, during these weekly meetings, we will focus on:
Topic Research and Discussion: Discussing the topics simulated in MUN conferences and encouraging delegates to share their insights and perspectives.
Public Speaking and Mock Sessions: Conducting public speaking exercises to help members improve their communication skills. This could involve delivering prepared or impromptu speeches and mock sessions to replicate what would happen in an actual conference.
Country and Committee Assignments: Assigning specific countries and committees to each member.
Understanding Rules of Procedure: Familiarizing team members with rules of procedure followed during MUN conferences.
Resolution Writing: Teaching the process of drafting and amending resolutions, which are proposed solutions to issues being discussed. Guiding team members through the technical aspects of resolution writing.
Feedback and Evaluation: Providing constructive feedback to help members improve their performance after mock sessions or practice speeches and encouraging peer-to-peer feedback.
Delegation Strategy: Discussing strategies for engaging with other delegates, forming alliances, and achieving the country’s objective in a conference.
