Volunteers are important to the library! Volunteers include people of a wide range of ages, from teens to parents to young professionals and seniors. Opportunities vary by branch, age, and ability. The link above is a calendar of events; filter 'Event Type' to 'Volunteer' for specific events.
Volunteer in a program that lasts from June to March and serve as volunteer interns at local non-profits. Applicants must be rising 10th-12th grade Loudoun County residents. Participation is free. Apply at loudounyouth.org. Email questions to jweiss@loudounyouth.org.
Assist in recreation, tours, community centers, parks, summer camps, programs, adult day centers, sports, and more.

The MRC is looking for volunteers over the age of 16 who are interested in working in medical and non-medical clinic roles. Volunteers are provided free training on topics like CPR, first aid, incident command, and emergency preparedness. Email mrc@loudoun.gov with any questions.
Help with events, ground maintenance, cabin hospitality services, cooking and kitchen cleaning, and horse maintenance. Volunteer and make a difference in the lives of our nation's veterans.

Volunteer to meet and interact with members of the homeless community, manage donations, and use your skills to aid in the administration of thrift and donation centers. Donations can count towards hour requirements. One donated item can be logged as one volunteer hour, with a maximum of three hours.
A Place To Be is a music and art therapy center. Volunteers must be over 16 in age and assist with administrative tasks, performing music, connecting clients, and more.
Volunteer to help out in food pantries, serve a meal for a community dinner, host a food drive, provide childcare and homework help, assemble health bags, assist individuals with disabilities, and more.

Mobile Hope is looking for volunteers to serve on the bus outreach committee, pack food bags in warehouses, sort and fold clothing, and process donations.
