Our idea

Our project is dedicated to making our local playground more inclusive! This is important to us because we know that many people with special needs might not have a playground to play in. We understand that we can’t fix this entirely, but we can add a bit more inclusion into our local playground. We know that we don't have special needs but everyone knows what it feels like to be left out. This is why we are so closely connected to this issue. We already know that there are places that people can go, but the closest to us is in Dulles and deeper into loudoun. Many people have special needs and want to play in parks, playgrounds etc. According to Loudoun Times, “Nearly 11,900 (12%) of the school division’s are special education students.” This problem occurs all over loudoun. Though this is a big issue few playgrounds have been built throughout VA.
