About Your Counselors

Ms. Lisa Morales - Kindergarten (Fox, Gallop, Barber), Grade 2, Grade 3 (Dengler, Weinheimer, Stanley), and Grade 5

Hello Pinebrook Families! My name is Lisa Morales and I am so excited to be one of the professional school counselors at Pinebrook Elementary! 2021-2022 will be my 3rd year here at Pinebrook.

As a school counselor, I facilitate small groups, conduct classroom lessons, and work with students individually based on their academic, social, and emotional needs. My goal is to help create a welcoming school environment and community that fosters and celebrates individuality, creativity, and a love for life-long learning.

I am originally from Arizona, where I earned my B.A. in psychology and Spanish from Northern Arizona University. I received my M.A. in School Counseling Services from Marymount University. After working as a professional school counselor at the high school level for Fairfax County Public Schools, I decided to take time out to have a family of my own. During that time, I enjoyed volunteering as a room parent, soccer coach, PTA president, and working as a substitute teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and creating lasting memories for an unforgettable year!

Here are some fun facts about me:

I have identical twin girls in the 7th grade.

I love the color pink and anything sparkly (my girls often have to remind me not to get distracted by shiny things).

I love coffee!

My favorite food is pizza with veggies.

Let's have a great year!

Ms. Morales

Hello Pumas! My name is Tory Walker and I'm thrilled to start my second year at Pinebrook! I will primarily be serving as School Counselor for our 1st and 4th grade students this year. My goal as a school counselor is support students’ learning and development and enable them to reach their academic, social, emotional and career goals.

I have been an elementary school counselor in Fairfax County for the past 20 years. I earned my BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and my MEd in School Counseling from the University of Maryland. I grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia. I'm a huge University of Virginia fan (Go Hoos!). I live in Leesburg with my husband, two daughters and dog, Cooper. I love the beach, exercising, cooking/baking, and going on adventures with my family.

I'm so excited to be a part of the Pinebrook family. I can't wait to start building relationships with all the students and families. I look forward to partnering with you towards your child’s success!
