Laps for Liberty Fundraiser This Thursday!
The Liberty PTA is a valuable partner in the education of each boy and girl at our school. The PTA supports instructional initiatives, such as STEM, reading, technology, flexible seating and more. The PTA creates and runs wonderful family events, such as Laps for Liberty, Bingo Night, school dances, and staff matball. In addition, the PTA supports teachers and students at school events, such as STEMmerday. The PTA supports all of our extracurricular student teams and activities like Mileage Club, Patrols, Tech Team and Student Council. It is important that your family is represented in the Liberty PTA.
Today, thanks to the Liberty PTA and our school-business partners, each student at our school received his or her 2019 Laps for Liberty shirt. We ask that everyone wear blue Laps shirt on September 19th at Laps for Liberty.
Laps for Liberty is Thursday with our make-up race on Friday morning! 100% OF ALL MONEY RAISED at Laps for Liberty will go immediately back to the children of Liberty Elementary School. We are not sure that any commercial fundraiser can say that 100% of the money will go to the students and their school. Please read the Laps for Liberty Pledge Form. A copy was sent home this week with each child so you are welcome to start submitting your pledges on Monday.

8:15-9:15 5th Grade
9:15-10:15 4th Grade and Pre-K
10:15-11:15 3rd Grade
11:50-12:45 2nd Grade
12:45-1:30 Kindergarten and Pre-K
1:30-2:15 1st Grade
If you have not done so, please join the Liberty PTA. Of course, we strive to have as many PTA members as students enrolled. So, we are looking to have, at least, 1040 PTA members this year. Please join now and support this Thursday's Laps for Liberty by sponsoring your child.
Please review the pledge form that went home today. You and your family, in the U.S. and internationally, can decide if you would like to pledge per lap at $2, $5, or $10 or any other amount you feel is appropriate. The students will run on one of the colored ovals inside the large track in the back of the school. Please note that the track is 1/16 of a mile long and each student will be given exactly 15 minutes. You can also pledge a flat fee of $10, $20, or $50 to support your student. The pledge form should be returned by Thursday, September 19, 2019. We will send the form and collection envelope home immediately after the race for you to return by Friday, September 28, 2019.

PTA Donuts with Dads and Eagle Eye Dads Kickoff - Take 2!
We wanted to thank you for the tremendous turnout at our Donuts with Dads event this past Wednesday. It was the largest turnout we have seen in the past six years. It’s wonderful to have such supportive fathers and father figures. Next Friday, September 20th the PTA will host a second Donuts with Dads event for those who didn’t receive a donut and the Eagle Eye information last week.
Please join us for "Donuts with Dads" this Friday from 7:15-8:00 AM in the gym to enjoy a breakfast treat with your child and learn about Liberty's Eagle Eye Dad program to promote male role models in our school.
Please enter through the exterior side doors between 7:15-7:45 AM with your child
Please know that dads will not have entry to the rest of the school this morning as students will stay for a donut and then head down to the classroom
