 AP Spanish and Culture

-Spanish is an incredibly useful language to know as we become a global community.

-Spanish is the official language in 21 countries.

-Spanish is the second most used language in the United States, so students do not need to travel in order to find the language useful! However, knowing Spanish will make traveling to some amazing destinations easier.

Spanish Dual Enrollment

-Participation in Dual Enrollment (DE) courses allows students to meet requirements for high school graduation while simultaneously earning college credits upon successful completion of the course.

-Students enrolled in a DE course may be required to meet certain admission criteria set forth by the partnering college or university. Students will work directly with their high school to determine what those requirements may be and how to register for that course.

AP(Spanish)

LCPS supports any student who wishes to accept the challenge of Advanced Placement (AP) classes. Please remember that AP courses are college level courses. With that challenge come certain expectations regarding the maturity and capabilities of the enrolled students.

College Board AP courses provide college level studies for high school students who desire and are ready to do college level work. These students demonstrate a strong curiosity about the subject and a willingness to complete hard work.

If you are curious about the AP exam score needed to receive college credit in the Commonwealth of Virginia, see SCHEV, or check out this website for out-of-state college specific information.
