We are excited to announce the opening of the CAPS Tutoring Program that will be held in the library during all study hall blocks. We have 20+ student tutors who have signed up, been trained, and are ready to help to support students.
The CAPS request for tutoring can be found here. This link is accessible only via an LCPS email address, so if you are a parent, please forward the link to your student.
Purpose of the Program:
To academically support students in the 4 core areas: English, Math, History, and Science (w/ limited tutoring available in Spanish I - III)
To develop leadership skills in a group of student leaders who have both the time and the talent to share with others
To promote academic integrity
To provide students with additional opportunities at remediation and skill practice outside of the classroom environment
Because tutoring services are available to the entire school community and there are a limited number of student tutors, tutoring is designed to be one or two sessions and not on-going.
