MS. Ashby-Bowers

About Me

Ms. Ashby-Bowers has been a school librarian since 1996. This is her fifth year at Heritage High School and fifteenth in Loudoun County. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and School Library Media from Shepherd University located in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and a Master’s of Library and Information Science from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

She is a member of the American Library Association, the American Association of School Librarians, the Virginia Association of School Librarians, and the Loudoun County Association of School Librarians.

She is a co-sponsor of the Pride Book Club and enjoys working with students in a variety of school activities. At home, she spends time hiking trails with her Redbone Coonhound named Belle, gardening, reading books from a never ending stack and baking pies.
