The Phoenix Capstone Celebration Gala occurs June 10 at 6pm. It will be held in the main hallway of Rock Ridge and in the library. Tables will be spreadout to accomodate the numbers of participants.
All community and teacher sponsors, as well as parents and guardians are invited.
Each student is expected to create a trifold presentation or create a short video to share with community members.
Videos should be no longer than three minutes and include photos, live footage, and music; the video should be reflective of the student’s experience. It can be played in a loop.
The trifold should include pictures and captions, and be professional in nature.
This is similar to a science fair and attendees can stop by your table and ask you questions, so be prepared.
Sponsors are expected to work with students to ensure quality presentations.
Students should be prepared to discuss what they did, what they learned, and how their experience will help their future during their presentation. If sudents have other peers doing capstone with the same sponsor, they can work together on creating the trifold.
Capstone Gala is a mandatory attendance. If Capstone participants cannot attend the gala, then they should contact Mrs. Marchante and coordinate a time to present to the Principal and/or to the 11th grade English class.
