Students (or "Rangers") who participate in these extra-curricular activities will be able to enroll in and attend ONE MONDAY club AND/OR ONE WEDNESDAY club per Session (Fall or Spring). We are excited to offer the following options for students to explore their interests and expand their horizons!
So, you want to be a Ranger? That's awesome!
The Spring 2024 session of this after-school activity program will be held weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:25 - 4:45 p.m. LCPS will provide activity bus transportation on these days (see note below). Each activity being offered in this session is listed alphabetically and includes a short description along with other information (sponsor, meeting schedule, registration fee, etc.).
Registration opens on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024.
Registration will end on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, at MIDNIGHT. However, if a club has reached maximum capacity, the availability to register for that club may close. So sign up early!!!
There are eight Spring Session dates:
Mondays: 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 4/1, 4/8, 4/15, 4/22, and 4/29 with a makeup on 5/8 (note that this is a Wednesday) if needed.
The LCPS calendar necessitates a later start and a later finish for Monday clubs due to holiday and staff-only days.
If the club meets on a different schedule, it will be noted and explained in the club description.
Wednesdays: 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 4/3, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1 with a makeup date of 5/8, if needed.
If the club meets on a different schedule, it will be noted and explained in the club description.
Students may only enroll in and attend ONE MONDAY club AND/OR ONE WEDNESDAY club.
There will be a general fee of $35 for enrollment in any club. Some clubs will have additional costs which will be clarified in the description.
Scholarships are available for students in need. Please reach out to Lauren Dauphinais (Lauren.Dauphinais@lcps.org), Family Liaison or your student's school counselor.
Families may register for clubs by clicking on the <REGISTER HERE> link under the chosen club picture.
When registering, please provide the STUDENT name for "Recipient" and put PARENT/GUARDIAN name as "Purchaser". This will allow us to track registrations more easily.
LCPS Activity buses will run on Mondays and Wednesdays during the club session, but capacity is limited and parent pickup is encouraged. Please be advised that due to transportation constraints, buses may not arrive until 5:00 PM or 5:15 PM. Students will be supervised in the cafeteria after clubs until the bus arrives, by school administration.
Buses 378 and 2032 will be picking up students and dropping them off regionally. They will not stop at every regular bus stop. Here is the list of stops these buses will make: Bus Stops

Description: Model United Nations is an opportunity for students to play the role of United Nations delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real-world issues while taking on the perspectives and positions of that assigned country. Students will learn the basics of a MUN conference, practice writing and preparing for a conference, participate in simulated conferences, and hopefully attend one or two HS/MS conferences around the NOVA area. There are dues required to attend conferences both as a school and as a single delegate, but these dues can vary depending on the conference.
