In order to safeguard the well-being of all involved, the 2022 RSEF will be held virtually on March 11-18, 2022.
The purpose of our fair is
to stimulate student interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM),
to encourage students to engage in research in STEM fields,
to provide students opportunities to present research to STEM professionals and the community, and
to give public recognition to students for their work.
The 2021 Virtual RSEF involved 317 students presenting 234 research projects to the STEM community. Projects were judged asynchronously and students participated in judging interviews by video conference. Over 200 STEM professionals participated as Judges to select projects for 161 awards. These awards, representing over $27,000, were given to students in recognition of their outstanding achievements in STEM.
Thanks to our sponsors, donors, judges, teachers, and schools for their involvement in our fair. With their support the Loudoun County Regional Science and Engineering Fair continues to be a successful and an enriching educational experience.
