Meet the Teachers

Ms. Dalton

Hi everyone!

I am Ms. Dalton and I will be working as a co teacher with Mrs. Wallace for the second year in a row!  I am looking forward to working with you and all the kiddos in our class.

Mrs. Gramling

Welcome to fourth grade Patriots!  I am Mrs. Gramling. After graduating high school, I attended PVCC and graduated with my associate's degree in early childhood education. I graduated from Regent University with my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2015. This will be my 9th year teaching. I have taught grades 3-5. This is my fourth year teaching 4th grade! I like to spend a lot of time with my family and friends. I have been married to my husband for 3 years and we have a beautiful, 3 year old daughter, Delta. Any chance we get, we are at the beach or going on some kind of adventure together. I can't wait to get this year started and get to know you!

Mrs. Gunderman

Welcome 4th Grade Patriots!! I am Cindy Gunderman and I am excited to start my 2nd year teaching in Louisa! This is my 25th year being a 4th grade teacher, last year I taught 5th grade, so this is my 26th year teaching. I grew up in New Jersey and taught there for 22 years before moving to beautiful Virginia. I received my graduate degree from the University of Scranton in 2020. My husband and I recently built a house in Louisa and have started a little farm. I spend much of my free time with my animals, my 5 children and my grandchild. I have 4 daughters (Paige, Brooke, Saige, and Hailey) and 1 son (Hunter). I also live on a farm with many different animals! I can’t wait to meet all of you and look forward to a fabulous school year!

Mrs. Hassenfratz

My name is Samantha Hassenfratz and I am very excited to teach 4th and 5th grade collaborative reading. I have two bachelor’s degrees (one in psychology and one in computer science) and a master’s degree in special education. I am a hardcore math nerd, an avid reader, and a lover of cats. My husband, Chris, and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary next summer. We have one son, Nolan, who will be a senior at LCHS this year. I look forward to a fabulous school year and cannot wait to work with your Patriot readers!

Ms. Ricotta

I am Kathryn Ricotta and I'm excited to be teaching Content this year!  I love Science and Social Studies, and my favorite way to show what we're learning is by doing hands-on projects.  This is my 10th year of teaching.  I completed my Bachelor's degree at VCU and then headed to University of Richmond to complete a teaching degree.  When I'm not at school, I love to be outside.  I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and working in my garden.  I have loved tending to my chickens this summer! I can't wait to start an amazing year with you all!

Mrs. Wallace

After graduating with my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Germanna Community College, I went to the University of Mary Washington for my Bachelor’s degree.
