My name is Mrs. Allen and I teach band and guitar at LCMS. This is my 18th year of teaching and I've spent all of them right here. I graduated from Virginia Tech, where I met my husband, Daniel (Hokies!!). Daniel is a fourth generation farmer and the Goochland High School agriculture teacher; he owns a little produce stand called Cottage Hill Farm Produce. I enjoy running (I'm not very fast, but it's fun), watching too much TV, and baking (I found the best cinnamon roll recipe- they are delicious!).

The LCMS Instrumental Music Department is an award-winning program, committed to musical excellence and training student leaders. The department offers a wide variety of instrumental classes for all ability levels: 6th Grade Beginning Band, Seventh and Eighth Grade Beginning Band, Seventh and Eighth Grade Concert Band, Seventh and Eight Grade Lead Band, and Guitar Ensemble.
