Week 20: Martin Luther King Day made Monday a holiday


Week 19: Continued work with integers, test Friday.

Week 18 (1/6): Adding and subtracting +/- integers. Receive chapter 3 test back. Learn how to multiply and divide +/- integers. Test corrections due Wednesday and test next Friday on integer operations.


Week 17 (12/16): MDTP 7th grade readiness test, work with integers and test on Ch 3: percents decimals and fractions.

Week 16 (12/9): Converting between percents, decimals and fractions. Introduced to integers.

Week 15 (12/2): Converting between percents, decimals and fractions. Adding fractions.

Week 14 (11/18): Review division and continue working between percents, decimals and fractions.

Week 13 (11/10): Introduction to equivalent fractions via the mutliplicative identity (GIANT 1). Also, discussing percents as they relate to fractions.

Week 12 (11/2): Test on part+ part= whole, area and perimeter

Week 11 (10/28): Power outage... short week:

Week 10 (10/21): First test returned, explore area and perimeter

Week 9 (10/13): Review first test and begin working with area and perimeter.

Week 8 (10/7): Data displays and FIRST TEST !!


Week 7 (Sept 30): Data displays and statistics continued. HOMEWORK DUE AND TEST OCTOBER 10/11th!

Week 6: Data displays continued, focus on mean, median and mode

Week 5 (9/16): Data displays

Week 4 (9/9): MDTP Assessment for 6th grade readiness, working with data displays and prepping our homework notebooks by becoming familiar with our e-books.

Week 3 (9/3): No school Monday* Practice "how many ways..." warm-up and work with prime numbers and prime factorization.

Week 2 (9/26): Continue to get to know students, login to ebooks, and prep our CW and HW notebooks.

Week 1 (9/21): First week back, get to know each other through week of inspirational math.
