About Me!
My name is Kaitlyn Alonzo, and I’ve lived in Lubbock, Texas my whole life. I was a teacher for three years at a small LISD school that’s very near and dear to my heart. Recently, I started a new journey with Communities In Schools, and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it! I’m grateful for the opportunity to support our students and families and to be part of such a caring campus community.
Right now, we are working on Angel Tree and Christmas boxes to support families during the upcoming holiday break. If your family is in need or you know a student who could benefit, please feel free to reach out. We’re here to help and make sure every child feels supported this season.
Communities In Schools (CIS)
CIS is a program here on campus dedicated to supporting students so they can succeed in school and in life. We work directly with students and families to remove barriers—whether that’s access to basic needs, academic support, or emotional encouragement. Our goal is to make sure every student feels connected, supported, and ready to learn. If your family ever needs help or resources, we are here for you.
