My name is Kaitlyn Alonzo, and I’ve lived in Lubbock, Texas my whole life. I was a teacher for three years at a small LISD school that’s very near and dear to my heart. Recently, I started a new journey with Communities In Schools, and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it! I’m grateful for the opportunity to support our students and families and to be part of such a caring campus community.

CIS is a program here on campus dedicated to supporting students so they can succeed in school and in life. We work directly with students and families to remove barriers—whether that’s access to basic needs, academic support, or emotional encouragement.
