November 3 - November 21
Dear West Families, this month, our school counseling lessons will focus on the positive character trait of Gratitude. Through classroom guidance activities and discussions, your children will learn that gratitude is more than just saying "thank you"—it’s a conscious feeling of thankfulness and appreciation for both the big and small positive things in their lives, even when facing challenges. They will develop the skills to actively identify, express, and appreciate the kindness of others, their personal strengths, and the resources they have. Learning gratitude is linked to increased happiness, empathy, and resilience, which ultimately helps students foster positive relationships and develop a more optimistic outlook both here at school and at home. We encourage you to continue these discussions about appreciation and thankfulness with your children throughout the month.
