Myra Johnson
This week's Staff Spotlight is Myra Johnson! Myra does a wonderful job as our ISS TA. Here is a little information about her: "I was born in South Carolina, but when I was 6 months old, my parents moved to Wolfforth. I went to Frendship ISD. I’ve been with my wonderful husband Micheal for 5 years, married for 3. I have a beautiful daughter named Eliana who is about to turn 8. In my free time I love spending time with my family, Sunday funday, movie nights or girls' night with my daughter. I’ve substituted for a few years in the district, and I really enjoyed meeting all the wonderful students and teachers. I was blessed to have found a position at West, and Eliana started her second grade year here as well. Everyone is so loving and caring and has welcomed us both. I’m excited to be at West because I get a chance to be a part of this wonderful family." We are so grateful to have Myra as part of our family as well!

Student Badges
All LCISD students have been issued ID badges. The purpose of the badges is to maintain the district's high standard of safety and security and to help streamline a number of student and teacher activities. Click here for more information about student ID badges. Students will have one on their backpacks as well to help with dismissal.

Is there a West teacher you or your student thinks goes above and beyond? If so, nominate them for the Mrs. Baird’s “Teacher on the Rise” award. Winning teachers receive great prizes, and the students who nominate them will also receive a $50 gift card. Parents, guardians, and students can nominate a teacher.
