What to do...
1a- Think about the need. Can it be met by an application on the approved list or in Self Service?
1b- Work with your campus principal and DLS to get ideas on how to utilize the existing resources in the district.
1c- Please keep in mind that all resources, even free ones, will require our district to acquire a Data Privacy Agreement. (More information in Step 5)
Does the resource align with district curricular goals?

2a- Collaborate with your campus admin to make sure the resource will align with the district curricular goals.
2b- To ensure compatability and alignment with existing resources, please check with the Curriculum Department BEFORE proceeding to any other steps.
Is the resource safe for students to use?
What to do...
3a- Explore within the resource and make sure that all aspects of the program are student appropriate. (Photo libraries, hyperlinks, project examples, Etc.)
3b- Make sure that any ads, videos, or banners do not display inappropriate content.
3c- Search within the app to make sure there are no unsecured messaging utilities. (Can the students use the app or website to chat or contact with people outside of our district?)

What will the resource cost?

4a- Does the resource cost money?
4b- If it costs money, is it a one-time purchase or a subscription fee (Requires annual renewals, upgrade costs, pro versions, etc.)?
4c- If the resource requires a purchase, what budget funds will pay for the resource (classroom, campus, district, grants, etc.)? Please consider the sustainability of the resource.
4d- Has your principal or supervisor approved the purchase? (The name of the person approving will need to be added to the Notes section of the request form).
How will the resource be supported?

5a- How is student data collected, stored, and removed after use?
5b- How would the district roster the student accounts? (Classlink, Google log in, Skyward API, Unique logins, etc.)
5c- Will teachers or students need accounts, logins, passwords, etc.?
5d- Will an app or program need to be added to devices? (Self Service, Web Link, Downloads, etc.)

If you have answered all of the questions above and feel that you are ready to request the new resource, please click the link below and fill in all required information.
6a- Please be very thorough with all information provided. The more information the committee has about the new resource, the easier it is for them to make a fast and appropriate decision about the resource acquisition.
6b- In the Notes section of the request form, please include the principal's name who approved the acquisition (Step 4).
6c- In the Notes section of the request form, please also include the name of the curriculum member with whom you spoke about adding this resource (Step 2)
