Fedamore Community National School
Croí na Coille

Fedamore Community National School opened on the 30th  of August 2024 under the patronage of Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board and funded by the Department of Education. Like all state funded schools we follow the national primary curriculum with all students from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. We have a multi-denominational ethos and children engage in a multi-belief and values education curriculum, Goodness Me, Goodness You! (GMGY). Our school is underpinned by five core values: excellence in education, care, equality, community and respect.

The name Fedamore comes from the Irish Fiadh Damair or Feadaimir, meaning "the wood of Damar", this refers  to a local Gaelic chieftain from pre Celtic Ireland. Connecting with our local community, our local heritage  and our natural environment is very important to us here at Fedamore CNS. Being located in the heart of Fedamore village which itself is in the heart of county Limerick we see our school as being at the very heart of Fedamore.

We are a small school with huge heart and are passionate about nurturing a child’s love of learning, their innate curiosity about the world in which they live, their imagination and sense of adventure. At Fedamore CNS we run regular outdoor learning activities and our forest school “Croí na Coille” takes place every Friday. Forest School is a programme of outdoor learning, that offers our pupils regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland environment. We align all of our outdoor learning activities with the national curriculum.
