Students must remember that driving on campus is a privilege and not a right. In order to provide a safe, secure driving experience, students and parents are expected to demonstrate extreme caution when driving on campus.
Parents: Please remember that many of our students are new drivers, and we ask that you demonstrate patience when driving/parking on campus.
Speed limit on campus is 10 mph at all times.
There is only one entrance to the Byers main lot and that is the second drive that is closest to the elementary building. Please use this only as an entrance.
There are now two exits from the Byers main lot – the one that exits to Lake Country Drive and the driveway that is beside the church sanctuary that leads to Boat Club Drive.
Each space in the Byers Lot is designated as Faculty, Visitor, or has a number in it. Parents: Please do not park in spaces #1-22 located in front of Byers. These are student designated/assigned parking spaces. If all the visitor spaces are full, please park in any of the numbered spaces in the lot. Please do not park in the lower lot (directly behind the elementary cafetorium - #70 - 105) as these are student assigned spaces.
Please observe all stop signs at the crosswalks. While the crosswalks are now off limits to grades 5 – 12 during the school day, there may be some lower school students that use it. The 5th – 12th grade students will use the walkway that is around the perimeter of the parking lot. There will be a police officer as well as school personnel in the crosswalks on Wednesday to allow for safe crossing for chapels.
For those who pick up students in front of Byers, please note that the inside lane (left lane) is a drive-thru lane only, and the right lane is the drop off/pick-up lane. Please do not stop in the left lane to drop off/pick up students.
All students may be dropped off as early as 7:30 and remain on campus until 4:00 (unless attending practices or rehearsals, then please note times distributed by coaches or fine arts staff).
Students are not permitted to move their cars once they have parked in their assigned places (with the exception of senior girls going to Byers after 7th period).
Student drivers must be registered with the school and are subject to a $10 fee per parking permit.
Parking permits must be clearly displayed in the lower left corner (driver's side) of the rear windshield at all times when parked on campus.
Students are permitted to park only in their assigned spot in the area designated for them. (See map below)
All high school boys will park in the South Lot - the lot outside the High School building. Seniors may paint their designated space after completing the Painting Google Form and receiving approval for the design.
Seniors girls are also permitted to paint spots in the South Lot following the same procedure. Senior girls that will be attending after-school practices or Fine Arts activities may have a designated space immediately in front of the Byers. These spaces will be assigned by the Dean of Students. (#1-22)
Girls in grades 9 - 11 will be assigned spaces in the Lower Lot (behind the elementary cafetorium). These spaces are #70 - 105.
Only siblings are permitted to ride with student drivers.
Students are not permitted to go to the parking lot without permission from the administration during regular school hours, unless arriving late or leaving early.
The school does not accept responsibility for student drivers, vehicles, or their passengers at any time.
Students are permitted to drive golf carts to school as long as they meet the requirements in the Golf Cart Policy .
Lake Country Christian School provides Verification of Enrollment and Attendance Form (VOE) necessary for obtaining a Texas Driver’s License. These are available in the school offices and should be requested no later than a day before needed.
