Seasonal Holiday Celebrations at LCCS
From the beginning, Lake Country Christian School has intentionally chosen to celebrate seasonal holidays with a focus on the Lord and His Word. We avoid the more commercial aspects of these holidays and instead seek to maintain a Biblical perspective. We understand that families may choose to celebrate differently at home, and while we respect your choices, we ask that you honor ours within the school environment.
Fall
LCCS does not celebrate Halloween. Instead, students participate in fall-themed activities and Thanksgiving projects. Bulletin boards and classroom displays reflect this focus. A highlight of the season is our Grandparents/Veterans Celebration Day—a special time to honor and enjoy these important members of our community.
Winter
Our Christmas celebrations focus on the birth of Jesus Christ. Santa Claus is not included in school activities, as we keep our attention on the miracle of Christ’s birth and God’s redemptive plan. Parents may include other traditions at home as they see fit.
February
We celebrate Valentine’s Day with an emphasis on love and giving. Students enjoy exchanging cards with classmates and teachers, making it a joyful and memorable occasion.
Spring
During the spring, we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Students learn about the significance of the Cross, the forgiveness of sins, and the joy of the risen Savior—foundations of the Christian faith. The Easter Bunny and related themes are not included in school activities, allowing families to observe those traditions at home if they choose.
