Important notes-
2 weeks of school left! How can this be?! I have been blessed with the most incredible students and families this year! I love you all so much!!!
May 12- Free Dress and Nerf Wars for students who met their AR goal! It will also be Board Game Day! Kids can bring board games from home to play with their friends!
May 13- Movie and Snacks Day and Amazing Race! 3rd and 4th grade will compete together to complete a scavenger hunt of all of the things they've accomplished throughout the school year!
May 14- 3rd grade won highest AR points in the school!! Mrs. Monica is treating them to a party and FREE DRESS!! We will also be cleaning out our desks and sending home any extra supplies!
May 15- End of the Year Program- 6pm
May 18- FIELD TRIP- NO SCHOOL- MAX BOWL Port Arthur- 10-til; no uniforms required; We will meet at Max Bowl- if your child needs a ride, please contact me or a friend in class!
May 19- Electronic Day and Popsicles and Face Paint- thanks to PTO! Students can bring electronics to school. This will be monitored closely! If you have any questions, please ask!
May 20- House Color Olympics!!
May 21- Last Day of School- 1/2 day; ICE CREAM TRUCK will be here!! Most items are $5 and under. Only 2 items are $7.
Bible:
We will be reading the Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones. It is stories from the Bible written and illustrated for children. We will begin with the Old Testament. We will read/watch and discuss each day.
English: Study and Research Skills
Math: Ch. 18- Long division We will not be tested on long division. I am just introducing it for 4th grade!
Science: Exploring God's World- Ch. 9- Exploring the Human Body- God's most special creation!

History/Geography: We will be learning the 50 states and where they are located on the map!
We have learned all of our 50 states!! We will be reviewing them for the rest of the year!
Spelling: No spelling test this week!
Reading- We have completed our entire reading book!! We will be reading The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane to finish the year!
Reading Vocabulary-
AR- Everyone's goal is 7 the fourth 9 weeks. They also have personal goals that are much higher. Way to be confident 3rd grade!!!

** Chapter Tests will be given every other week. Reviews will be sent home in binder that week.
** Homework: Fluency page, math facts, and spelling words each week as needed. If work is not completed in class, it will be sent home as homework.
