Bible:
We will be reading the Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones. It is stories from the Bible written and illustrated for children. We will begin with the Old Testament. We will read/watch and discuss each day.
English: Ch. 11- Sentence building; subjects and predicates
Math: Ch. 12- Division; dividing by 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10
Science: Exploring God's World-
Ch. 7- Exploring the Animal Kingdom
History/Geography: We will be learning the 50 states and where they are located on the map!
Spelling: List-19- changes, danger, ginger, gym, bridge, edges, joined, just, laugh, lives **We will be writing complete sentences with our words.
Reading- Reading Comprehension
Reading Vocabulary- emancipation, escaping, plantation, honor, hearth, biography, poor, pour, inspect, prompt **TEST Thursday
AR- Everyone's goal is 7 the third 9 weeks. They also have personal goals that are much higher. Way to be confident 3rd grade!!!
Tests/Quizzes:
Spelling- List 19- writing sentences (no spelling test)
Math- Ch. 12 Quiz
English- Ch. 11 Quiz
History/Science- Open notes- quiz
** Chapter Tests will be given every other week. Reviews will be sent home in binder that week.
** Homework: Fluency page, math facts, and spelling words each week as needed. If work is not completed in class, it will be sent home as homework.
A review worksheet for Math and English Chapter Test will be sent home the week of the test. *These tests will be every other week.
