Important notes-
Bible:
We will be reading the Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones. It is stories from the Bible written and illustrated for children. We will begin with the Old Testament. We will read/watch and discuss each day.
English: Ch. 10- Writing a Persuasive essay.
Math: Ch. 10- Fractions
Science: Exploring God's World-
Ch. 6- The Solar System
History/Geography: We will be learning the 50 states and where they are located on the map! Quiz on New England states this Thursday!!
Spelling: We will be writing sentences this week. I will have the spelling words on the board and they will create good sentences with a subject and verb and correct punctuation/capitalization marks. List-16: alive, become, disobeyed, replacing, return, unable, unafraid, people, everybody, sometimes
Reading- Reading Comprehension
Reading Vocabulary- appeared, dangerous, declare, orphan, quiver, blanketed, steady, practiced, border, hobble **Test Thursday
AR- Everyone's goal is 7 the third 9 weeks. They also have personal goals that are much higher. Way to be confident 3rd grade!!!
Tests/Quizzes:
Spelling- List 15- Writing sentences
Math- Ch. 10 Quiz
English- Ch. 9 Test; Vocab. test- Thursday
History/Science- New England states quiz Thursday
** Chapter Tests will be given every other week. Reviews will be sent home in binder that week.
** Homework: Fluency page, math facts, and spelling words each week as needed. If work is not completed in class, it will be sent home as homework.
A review worksheet for Math and English Chapter Test will be sent home the week of the test. *These tests will be every other week.
