Mr. Joel A. Dukes
Mr. Joel A. Dukes is a proud graduate of Lincoln County High School class of 2012. He is the son of Gerry and Jasper Dukes (former director). Throughout his journey in middle and high school, he participated with the Red Pride Band, wherein he received many accolades throughout the band program, District Honor and All State Bands. As a result of his dedication and persistence in academics and band, he was able to master his craft which lead him to receive a full scholarship to Benedict College, Columbia, South Carolina where he received a B.S in Music Performance with a concentration in Tuba. He also received a Masters in Art and Teaching in Music Education at Georgia College and State University. This is his 6th year in education and second year at Lincoln County Middle/High School.
Mr. Dukes' vision for the band program is to maintain a standard of excellence in which transcends all students to become great musicians. Throughout his journey, he has always strive to be the best at everything he did which has helped him to be where he is today. In maintaining this standard of excellence, he plans to:
PREPARE the students to be ready for obstacles that may come their way,
INSPIRE the students by being a positive light and a mentoring figure and
CHALLENGE each student to reach their full potential as a member of the Red Pride Band and as a student of Lincoln County.
