What: 7th and 8th graders are encouraged to attend our Winterim Experience at Camp Shamineau. This is an opportunity for students to be challenged in their faith, build stronger relationships with classmates, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
When: January 7th-9th, 2025.
The bus will leave LCA at 8:15 AM on Tuesday, January 7th (students are expected to arrive at school by 7:40 AM per usual).
We will gather and pray at 8:00 am by the buses. We invite you (parents/families) to join us for this time of prayer.
The students will return to Legacy on Thursday, January 9th and can leave school at 2:10 PM.

All students should be aware of the following rules in preparation for our trip.
Stay with your group wherever they go – do not go off alone.
Tell an adult if you do not feel well or get injured.
Dress warmly with several layers of clothes; if your feet get wet change socks and shoes immediately.
Stay away from the lake unless a chaperone is with you – there will be water.
Leave the other students’ gear and belongings alone. Ask permission before borrowing something from someone.
Pick up litter as you find it and place it in your pocket until it can be disposed of properly.
Lights out at 10:00 pm.
Leave bathroom lights on during the night.
Use good behavior with your classmates and adults, both on the bus and at Camp Shamineau. Remember you are representing Jesus, your family, and Legacy.
Be safety conscious.
Respect the building and nature.
Practice good personal hygiene habits: brush teeth, wash hands after using the bathroom and before meals, flush toilets, eat with good manners, etc.
Leave Camp Shamineau in a better condition than when we came.
Take a chance on learning – take risks on learning but not on safety.
Try things you’ve never done before.
