WHAT TO EXPECT

Ok, wait, I have so many questions and there's soooooo much to do. Help - where do we even begin?!

We often find couples at the start of their planning journey feeling overwhelmed with the mounting list of wedding details they are accumulating in their mind that need to be taken care of. While every part of your wedding day is so important to us, just as much as it is to you, the good news is that not every line item requires immediate and simultaneous attention! Our three-phased process, as outlined in the timeline below, is meant to help you visualize the planning process in tangible chunks, versus all the things all at once.

Throughout our planning journey together, we will guide you through each of these phases to help you prioritize every element of your wedding day and provide your inputs accordingly. Together, we'll build your wedding day, brick by brick, in a manner that allows you to tangibly tackle decisions by order of prioritization. When in doubt, you can always come back to this overview for a refresher on where we are and where we're headed (and don't worry, we'll keep you posted along the way!). Our regularly scheduled calls will be our opportunity to check in on this process and make adjustments to timing and priorities, as needed, so you are consistently up to speed.

THE TIMELINE

Phase 1: Planning
~10-15 months out

Consider this section the foundational bricks that will lay the groundwork for everything to come. Before we can dive into the pretty in extensive detail (trust me, we can't wait to get there either), we first need to iron out the essentials.

This includes:

Your wedding venue and date (if you haven't locked this in already)
Your initial guest list
Your preliminary budget

Following your completion of your Client Profile, we will get started by hosting our kick-off call, where we will chat through all things wedding day to get a well rounded understanding of what you're envisioning for your big day. We want to know what you want the day to look like, what you want the day to feel like, what you DON'T want, family dynamics we should be aware of and more. No topic is off limits, and the more you share with us the closer we become to understanding you as a couple and what matters most to you!

Based on these inputs, our team will build a design "one-sheeter", alongside a suggested budget that we feel aligns with what you're dreaming into. Don't like what you see? We find that to rarely be the case (but it's okay if it is!). Aligning on your budget will be crucial to ensuring the remainder of our planning process aligns with your expectations, and the one sheeter is a little taste of the direction we're heading in with that investment in mind. We'll go back to the drawing board (as needed) to make sure you feel confident before we proceed.

Pending your sign off on the budget and high level design, we'll start locking in your core vendor team.

Phase 2: Design
~4-9 months out

We've got the foundation drying, and now it's time to get into the special sauce. The design that will make your wedding day turn from an ordinary event into a beautiful experience that takes your guests on a journey of your love story.

During this phase, we start building out your extended design kit, where we will cover every design aspect of your wedding day.

This includes (but is not limited to):

stationery (invitations)
and subsequent mailout
ceremony design
draping
custom installations
tabletop details
layouts
and more

While this part of the process is so. fun., kindly keep in mind that creativity takes time! It will take us ~8-12 weeks to fully complete your design kit and present it to you (we promise it's worth the wait!). Pending your feedback on the design, we get to actioning on any resulting bookings needed, and start scheduling your in-person design meetings thereafter. In order to maximize our time together, we will need ~two full business days of your time to visit multiple rental companies, so you can see all design elements in person and adjust as needed. This is also when we will schedule your tasting(s) and hair & make-up trial.

Phase 3: Details
~0-4 months out

Your vendors are booked, the design is baked, invites have been sent and now it's time to bring it alllll together to ensure a seamless wedding day is ahead of you. This phase will require a consistent line of communication, as we work to finalize every last detail of your day and will need your inputs accordingly.

Simultaneously, our team will be busy behind the scenes building out a production and timeline schedule that will be the master guide for your wedding day, which all vendors will adhere to. We will continue to meet on a periodic basis (most likely at an increased frequency), to ensure you have full visibility as to what will be taking place on your wedding day and when. From hair and make-up start and end times, the moment you'll be stepping into your dress, first looks, toasts, dances and more, we'll plan for every minute of your day and share those plans with you accordingly. This is to ensure that you can confidently relax on the big day, knowing that every detail is being handled on the backend. We by no means expect you to commit any of the day-of logistics to memory, that is what we are here for - to ensure perfect, stress-free execution while you are busy having the time of your life.
