Meet the Librarian!

Hi! I’m Mrs. Jones, the librarian at Long Beach Middle School—and I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve been an educator for over 30 years, and I truly believe the library should be a place where students feel safe, curious, and excited to learn.

I earned my Associate of Arts from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and my Bachelor of Arts in Education of the Deaf from The University of Southern Mississippi. I’ve proudly served the LBMS community for 17 years, and this is my 5th year as the Long Beach Middle School Librarian—a role I absolutely love.

When I’m not helping students find their next great read or designing fun library experiences, you’ll probably find me cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs or supporting my favorite role as a House Adult for Fidum House (blue, dependable, and octopus-strong!).

The LBMS Library is a place for exploration, creativity, and yes—just a little controlled chaos. I can’t wait to learn and grow with our students this year!
