HDR and All Kids Bikes provided our kindergarteners Balance to Pedal bikes and helmets for PE. The reveal assembly was held on Tuesday, January 28. All of our kindergarten students got to ride the bikes that day, and the PE lessons will start soon.

Garden Party was a success! Come visit and enjoy our new Edison happy place. Try completing the nature walk, but watch your step as you jump from one stump to the other. A big thanks to our families, J. Perez, Cancino, E. Maglasang, Sarah, Royal, Ariel and Karen.

A big shout out to Mrs. Jessykka Crain, Edison parent and entrepreneur, for her dedication and hard work with our Edison students. It's year three of the Cosmo Club and it's one of our most popular clubs.
In the simplest form, Cosmetology is the professional practice or skill of beautifying the skin, hair, and nails. Cosmetologists could be anything from a hair stylist or makeup artist for celebrities to your local nail technician; the opportunities are endless! We may have a future cosmetologists at Edison!
Un gran reconocimiento a la Sra. Jessykka Crain, madre y empresaria de Edison, por su dedicación y arduo trabajo con nuestros estudiantes de Edison. Es el tercer año del Cosmo Club y es uno de nuestros clubes más populares.
En su forma más simple, la cosmetología es la práctica o habilidad profesional de embellecer la piel, el cabello y las uñas. Los cosmetólogos pueden ser cualquier cosa, desde un estilista o maquillador para celebridades hasta su técnico de uñas local; ¡Las oportunidades son infinitas!

Unity Day is a national effort to prevent bullying through the promotion of kindness and compassion. Students and teachers throughout the district took part in numerous activities to promote inclusivity and acceptance for all regardless of gender, race, religion and sexual orientation.

Teaching Students the Power of Volunteerism
Teaching Students the Power of Volunteerism
On Saturday, February 18th a group of Edison Families and staff took on a beach clean up at Junipero Beach. Student Council and Mr. Gutierrez partnered with Project Blue, a non-profit organization to organize this event to teach our students the power of volunteering and making a difference in our own community. It was such a success, we plan to schedule another one in the near future.
El sábado 18 de febrero, un grupo de familias y personal de Edison realizaron una limpieza de playa en Junipero Beach. El Consejo Estudiantil y el Sr. Gutiérrez se asociaron con Project Blue, una organización sin fines de lucro para organizar este evento para enseñar a nuestros estudiantes el poder del voluntariado y marcar la diferencia en nuestra propia comunidad. Fue tan exitoso que planeamos programar otro en un futuro cercano.

On April 27th, Ms. Ariel, her ECO Club and the help of the City of Long Beach put on another beach clean-up event. Edison School learning about ocean conservancy and making a difference in Long Beach!
