Middle School is a time to become more independent than you were in elementary school and prepare you for your high school years. It is imperative that you continue to believe in the importance of education, and be enthusiastic about learning in order to achieve academic success. We know everyone has a lot to deal with, especially with many of the continued challenges we are facing, but there is also a lot of good we can do. In order for you to do good, it is important to develop positive habits of mind as you continue on your educational journey to a future we know will be bright. Here are some tips to help you get started. As we learn more about our next school year, we will continue to add resources to help you thrive academically, socially, & emotionally during your 6th grade year.

Another way to be successful is to dress for the event you are attending.
When you go to track practice you wear running shoes just like when you go to a wedding you wear a suit or a dress and when you go to the beach you wear a bathing suit or swim trunks. When you come to Stanford, you can help your brain by telling it you are ready to learn by wearing your uniform.
