VISION
Jordan High School recognizes that every student has unique individual needs. Our Special Education Department provides programs that meet the academic, physical, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of every student so they have equal opportunities to succeed and become a contributing member of society.
All students requiring special education services are treated equally as part of Jordan High School’s culture and climate community where all students feel a sense of belonging by providing educational access and meaningful opportunities. Students will be provided with the support, skills, and services they need to be successful in all of their future endeavors.
MISSION
Special Education promotes the mission of the Long Beach Unified School District for students at risk, including those with disabilities. Our job is to ensure the educational success of all students by having high expectations, a commitment to excellence, and a comprehensive program, confirming the belief that all students can learn and become responsible, productive members of a competitive society.
“Our kids can!”
Decisions regarding appropriate placement and services are made by each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) team based on the unique needs of the individual student.
