Chemistry in the Earth System

Hello! I have been teaching since September of 1996. I have been at Poly since September of 2003. I am a product of the Long Beach schools, I graduated from Wilson in 1991. I went to Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, and received my B.S. in Chemistry. I also have a M.S. in science education from Concordia University.

I welcome all questions and comments as we embark on this journey of working in a blended classroom together. This will be different for all of us, but I truly believe that it will be good for all students in the long run. Chemistry is not an easy subject for many, but with a good working attitude, everyone can be successful.

I strongly believe in the importance of data analysis and critical thinking, so many of our assessments will be geared towards those skills rather than just memorization. Most students will not go on to study chemistry in the future, but critical thinking skills last a lifetime!
