During this time of disruption to our daily routines, I want you to know that you remain in the thoughts of all the educational professionals here at Avalon School and we miss you. Our dedicated staff remains focused to your growth as a student even though our time together will be limited during our Stop the Spread efforts to slow the impact of this global pandemic. We do not know how long we will be apart and we look forward to the day we can all return to Avalon School. Fortunately, we have many on-line tools that will keep us connected during this time.

Your teachers have spent the previous week learning about various on-line learning tools in order to prepare quality learning opportunities for you at home. This webpage will connect you to those opportunities. I would like you to know this is a new experience for your teachers and we are doing our best to increase knowledge and skills for effective on-line teaching and learning. Because many of your teachers have successfully implemented on-line learning activities in their classrooms, those learning platforms will be familiar to you. However, some lessons will incorporate new learning platforms for both teacher and student. We ask for you to be persistent in learning how to engage within these new platforms. Know we have support available and will assist you as needed. Please know all lessons and activities are intended to be relevant and essential, standards-based, and initially ungraded.

Parents during this time of Home Learning Opportunities your knowledge of on-line learning will be supported through an evolving resource called Parent University. Links to Parent University are embedded in this site and you are encouraged to utilize specific links to enhance your own knowledge of the on-line learning process.
