IEDC LBSCEK (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre at LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragod) is a student-driven organization that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup culture among students. It is part of a statewide network of IEDCs, which are supported by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) and other bodies to encourage students to come up with creative solutions, develop their ideas into viable products, and even launch startups.

IEDC LBSCEK organizes various workshops, hackathons, seminars, and mentoring sessions to equip students with the necessary skills in technology, business, and leadership, helping them innovate and contribute to the startup ecosystem.

In addition to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, IEDC LBSCEK encourages students to pursue internship opportunities early in their academic journey. The entrepreneurial experience gained, whether through starting a venture or working on innovative projects, helps students build critical skills, making them more attractive to employers. The startup journey itself equips them with valuable skills and mindsets that can lead to better job opportunities, even if the startup doesn’t succeed.
