Welcome
Berkeley Lab will host will host the US-West “node” of the Digital Earths Global Hackathon, a globally distributed event designed to advance the analysis and development of high-resolution Earth-system models.
This event, taking place from May 12 to 16, 2025, will gather participants to collaborate on hacking, bug-fixing, and learning in a dynamic, hands-on environment. This hackathon supports the community effort to push the boundaries of Earth system modeling and digital innovation globally. The US-West node will be held in Shyh Wang Hall (Building 59) on the Berkeley Lab campus in Berkeley, CA.
Location
The event will be located in Rooms 4101 and 4102 in Building 59, "Shyh Wang Hall," on the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory campus, Berkeley, CA. Shyh Wang Hall is the home of the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), the Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) and staff from Berkeley Lab's Applied Mathematics & Computational Research and Scientific Data Divisions.
