The Facilities and Projects Divisions are scheduled to perform a utility power shutdown that will have direct impacts to all normal power in buildings 2, 15, 23, 34, 37, and 43; and to Low Conductivity Water (LCW) systems in buildings 2, 6, 15, 27, 37, 46, 47, 53, 53B, 58, 58A, 80, 80A. This shutdown is required to support the construction of the ALS Upgrade Infrastructure and routine substation maintenance.

TIMING
Thursday, August 7, 5:00 a.m. Mechanical utilities such as building heating, ventilation, and cooling are shut off.
Thursday, August 7, 6:00 a.m. Utility power is shut off. Standby power remains online where available.
Thursday, August 7 - Saturday, August 9 Buildings 2, 15, 23, 34, 37, and 43 are closed all day.
Sunday, August 10, 6:00 a.m. Buildings re-open as normal.
FOR BUILDING TENANTS
All building tenants are asked to place equipment in safe and stable mode prior to the start of the outage on Thursday, August 7, 5:00 a.m. Use this guidance from EHS to prepare your lab or technical area.
Buildings 2, 15, 34, 37, and 43 will not be occupiable during the power outage. If you require emergency access, contact the Site Operations Center.
Update (delete or add) on the Temporary Power Request worksheet. The due date for this action is Friday, April 25. Contact your Facility Area Manager for further guidance.
Standby power is available only to equipment that is already connected to e-outlets. Buildings 2, 15, 34, and 37 will have standby power.
