Held October 8-9, 2025 in Berkeley, California, the NERSC User Group (NUG) Annual Meeting is an opportunity for the entire NERSC community to gather to share information and research achievements, as well as learn about the upcoming NERSC system and network with colleagues.
This event is organized by NERSC Staff and the NUG Executive Committee.
On Wednesday, October 8, we will kick off the day with a welcome from LBL Associate Lab Director Jonathan Carter and NERSC Director Sudip Dosanjh, as well as a look at the last year of accomplishments at NERSC.
You will not want to miss presentations from NERSC-10 project director and NERSC HPC Technologies department head Hai Ah Nam and NERSC-10 deputy project director Rollin Thomas for a detailed look into NERSC's next system. Then, bring your questions to a special Q&A regarding Doudna with several expert NERSC staff. After lunch, the day continues with scientific presentations from NERSC users just like you!
On Thursday, October 9, we’ll hear from NUGEx Chair Emily Belli, of General Atomics, about the role of NUGEx in the NERSC user community. Next, Debbie Bard, NERSC's Science Engagement and Workflows Department Head, will tell us about how Doudna will enable complex workflows. The half-day will conclude with more scientific presentations from NERSC users.
This meeting will be held in-person in Berkeley, CA, onsite at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab.
Those who cannot attend in person will have the option to view it remotely via Zoom (registration required). The entire meeting will be recorded with slides and recordings made available as soon as possible.
