The general goal of the workshop is to encourage multi-disciplinary and cooperative research with a focus on coupled processes and how their understanding can be improved via lab experiments, in situ tests, and advanced computational methods.

The Fall 2025 workshop of DECOVALEX will be held at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, in Berkeley, California, USA, on November 3-7, 2025. DECOVALEX is an international collaboration for advancing the understanding and numerical simulation of coupled THMC processes in geological systems (www.decovalex.org). The Berkeley workshop will be the 4th workshop for the current DECOVALEX phase D-2027. During the first four workshop days on November 3-6, 2025, participants will have a chance to hear about the eight modeling tasks of D-2027 and have detailed discussions about the model comparison results. A full-day (optional) field trip to the San Andreas fault region, and a field monitoring project conducted there, by LBNL researchers, will be offered on November 7, 2025.
