2020 APS FWS Meeting

October 9-10, 2020

Welcome

The Far West Section goes virtual in 2020.

Originally we had planned to have our first meeting in Hawaii this year, but like so many other conferences the annual meeting of the Far West Section of the American Physical Society will instead be held online in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to have an in-person meeting in Hawaii in 2021.

The details of the 2020 meeting are still being worked on, but the dates remain unchanged, October 9-10, 2020. As usual we will have a series of invited talks and you will have the chance to present your research in parallel oral sessions.

Here is the detailed Bulletin, where you can find the detailed schedule: http://meetings.aps.org/Meeting/FWS20/Content/3918

We are looking forward to meeting you online this coming weekend!

The Executive Committee of the APS Far West Section.

Note, that only registered participants will be able to access the conference and present their research. A table with the cost for registration based on your membership status can be found on the right. We reduced the rates significantly this year, but we still have to cover the cost for the online meeting service.

Please check that your APS membership level reflects your actual status, because you are charged based on your status. Student membership is free for the first year.

Program

The meeting will follow the format of previous meetings as much as the virtual format allows. There will be no poster session. The program is displayed below:
