Xi-cam and other new software for synchrotron users, from the ALS, CAMERA, and collaborators

October 2 - 4, 2017

ALS staff members work closely with CAMERA (the Center for Advanced Mathematics for Energy Research Applications) and with other DOE facilities to develop new algorithms and deliver these to the lightsource user community within easy-to-use software. Xi-cam is a versatile interface that has been developed for visualization and data analysis; we will highlight its features, including integration with DataBroker, a file-format agnostic data access system, developed at NSLS-II; paws, a workflow manager with remote execution capabilities, developed at SSRL; and CD-SAXS, a tool to fit form-factors for etched patterns, developed at NIST. We will also showcase algorithms and software developed by ALS staff, such as a reconstruction workflow manager for tomography, and a GPU accelerated algorithm for reconstruction of tomographic data.
