Computing project for the ALICE-USA collaboration for the ALICE experiment at LHC
ALICE-USA Computing Project provides compute and storage resources in accordance to the ALICE MoU to support US scientists participation in ALICE experiment
The project manages and maintains two ALICE Tier2 sites. One at LBL and another at ORNL. Currently we provide about 5000 job slots.
Project also maintains HPC resources at ITD Lawrencium and NERSC Perlmutter clusters
ALICE is using a worldwide distributed storage grid. It is based on the EOS distributed storage file system. We currently provide about 5.5 PB of storage to ALICE collaboration.
