Participant Expectations

• To enable the success of the workshop format, which emphasizes breakout discussions and lightning talks, active participation is expected.

• Pre-work: Participants will be asked to prepare 1-2 slides, using a template that will be sent after registering, introducing themselves and presenting a scientific case study that would benefit from accelerated synthesis. Participants will present their slide in the Day 1 breakout session. All pre-work is due by 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28th, and should be uploaded here.

• Homework: Between the two days of the workshop, participants will be given a brief assignment.

• Registrants are expected to attend both workshop sessions, if at all possible.
