Session Info: This session will share insights into the new NSF critical zone network and how it is being enabled through centralized data management and sharing. This session will include a few slides providing an overview of the new collaborative network, followed by a discussion of the existing and emerging opportunities to fund cross-site/network research.

November 30, 2020, 9-10 AM PDT: The Art of Data Synthesis: Past Experiences and Future Directions

Session Info: This session will focus on the value of synthesizing datasets across sites/networks in enabling critical zone science. This session will provide an overview of the framework needed from data generation and assessment to synthesis, followed by a discussion of the challenges and opportunities associated with engaging the community in data sharing, methodological design, and open science.
