Hello Kindergarten Crew Families,
As we are nearing the end of this school year, we would like to reach out to all of you once again to thank you for your support throughout this year.
As we head into the Summer months, we want to take this opportunity to let you know that the websites such as Scholastic and Epic used during the year will still be available.
In addition to these sites, the Ocean County Library has many digital resources (Hoopla, OverDrive, & TumbleBooks) where you can find many eBooks. If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can get one month of Kindle Unlimited for free! You can also find books organized by reading level (DRA score) on the Scholastic site. We have created a Summer Reading List for our graduating Kindergarten Crew that includes favorite authors, series, and suggested books. Please note that this is a suggested list of optional books to read in which we hope you find helpful.
Have a wonderful summer - remember that learning happens within play, so we hope that you all embrace the fun and find the teachable moments digging in the sand, playing in the water, watching the sunsets, and however else you spend time together as a family.
As you all move forward and prepare for first grade, just know that you will always be a member of our Kindergarten Crew. We look forward to seeing you all in the hallways next year.
Your Kindergarten Crew Teachers,
Mrs. Leonard and Mrs. Ramilo
