Project: We will create watercolor leaves to decorate our room for Fall. 

**PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD PRACTICE RECITING THEIR HOME ADDRESS.  

THEY WILL BE ASKED TO RECITE IT ON THEIR OWN BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH. :-)

Science: We will begin our Pumpkin Science to explore the parts of a pumpkin.  

Social Studies: This week is Fire Prevention Week.  We will discuss fire safety.  We will also continue our discuss of nouns for people by learning about firefighters and other community helpers.

Project: We will be reading a variety of Halloween books in which we can practice story sequencing and retelling.  We will be  busy creating spooky crafts to go along with the stories.  Our display case will be "boo"tiful!

Science: We will continue our pumpkin science unit and explore the school garden.  

Project: We will continue to read different Halloween books and complete crafts for our October display case.

Math: We will begin Topic 3 - Essential Question: How can numbers 6-10 be counted, read and ordered?

Science: We will complete our pumpkin science unit by carving a pumpkin and completing a diagram of its parts.  We will be scientists once again as we perform a Sink or Float Experiment using a hollow and a solid pumpkin.  

We will plant garlic in the garden to keep the vampires away! ;-) 

Project: We will create our own haunted houses.  We will bring them home when we can recite our address!
