My name is Dr. Caitlin Fuentes King, and I am a former LARC student! The LARC program was instrumental in my development as a creative and curious student. It is a joy to come full circle and teach a program that greatly influenced my life. This will be my eighteenth year teaching the LARC program.
I am a graduate of Boston College, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Education. I also studied abroad at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. This was the beginning of my journey studying Gifted & Talented education. I received my master’s degree from Columbia University in Sociology and Education. I completed my doctoral degree in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies at Long Island University. I was privileged to present my doctoral work at the Philosophy in Education National Conference in Memphis, Tennessee. I am a New York State certified Gifted & Talented Teacher, and I am a proud member of the National Association for Gifted Children and the Gifted Education Network of Long Island. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I am thrilled to embark on this exciting journey with your child.
I enjoy reading, theater, art, sports, spending time in nature, and staying active. Above all, I love playing and reading with my two young children.
I’m deeply passionate about being an educator and find daily inspiration in the energy, curiosity, and creativity of my students.
