^{Welcome to Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) with Mrs. Embrey!}

^{I am a Lawson Alumni and dedicated Cardinal fan! I feel blessed to teach classes that I am passionate about! Students who take FCS classes are preparing themselves for the world ahead. Students learn practical skills and knowledge that they will use everyday and for the rest of their life. The field represents many areas including housing and interior design, nutrition, food preparation, wellness, and textiles and apparel. I am also the adviser for FCCLA (Family Career & Community Leaders of America). This is a student lead organization that encourages member to develop skills for life through planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communications.}

^{When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy walking with my dog, Baxter, gardening, knitting, reading a book and being with family.}

^{Every year, I look forward to the projects that the the students choose and to having a great school year!}
