Mrs. Danica Mayne is a graduate of Brigham Young University. She taught 5th grade, then stayed home to raise her kids! For the past several years she has taught swimming, and served as a substitute teacher in the Lawson, Kearney, and Lathrop School Districts. This is her second year teaching at Lawson Middle School!
She is excited to begin coaching volleyball again this year with the 7th grade team! She played volleyball in her youth, has coached recreational teams, and also coached Freshman volleyball at Cameron High.
Mrs. Mayne is married to David Mayne, who also teaches at Lawson High School (Social Studies, Woodshop, and MS Track)! They have been married for 20 years and have five children, Katie, Joseph, Joanna, Ben, and Ellie. They range in age from Ellie, a 6th grader, to Katie, who is a 2022 graduate of Lawson HS and is serving a mission in Spain until June 2024. Her free time is spent with her family while they do house projects, farm projects, and play with the animals. She also coaches club volleyball in all her extra time. And, of course, they all READ!
Mrs. Mayne is excited to share her time with the 6th grade Cardinals and help them become the very best that they can be as readers, and in life. She is thrilled to be teaching and coaching in such a wonderful community!
