My name is Cathy Rider. I am currently in my 13th year of teaching. This is my 7th year in second grade. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade. I love my job and can't imagine doing anything else. I have two boys: Garrett is 23 years old and lives in Kannapolis, NC. He is currently working at EEG (Experiential Events Group) in their accounting department. He also is working at NASCAR cutting highlights for all of their social media platforms during races and logging race footage. Griffin is 20 and living in Concord, NC. He is working for Venturini Motorsports on their ARCA cars. He will travel the full ARCA circuit this year. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my two dogs, Macy and Marley. We like getting out and seeing all of our neighbors. I also enjoy working in my yard, spending time with family and friends, and reading.
